The Generation Essentials Group is pushing into new international markets, leveraging its portfolio of media brands to capture audiences in fashion, art, and culture. The company, a subsidiary of AMTD Digital, is scaling operations through strategic regional launches, hospitality partnerships, and an aggressive pursuit of new entertainment acquisitions.

The expansion centers on the growth of L'OFFICIEL and The Art Newspaper. In Singapore, the firm recently launched a Chinese-language edition of L'OFFICIEL, led by Regional Managing Director Aileen Soh and Editor-in-Chief Grace Lee, making the city the first to host both English and Chinese versions of the publication. A Taiwanese edition is also set to follow shortly.

Simultaneously, The Art Newspaper is widening its footprint. Following the launch of a Hong Kong edition during Art Basel 2026, the company plans to introduce a mainland China edition this October. Preparatory work is also underway for expansion into Africa and India. To support this growth, TGE is placing its publications in premium hospitality venues, including The Peninsula Hong Kong and various AMTD-branded properties in Singapore and London.

Beyond organic growth, the company’s board has signaled an acquisitive strategy. TGE is actively scouting M&A opportunities within the movie, entertainment, and sports sectors to diversify its revenue streams and content offerings.
