South Yorkshire Police Adopts NicheRMS365 for Digital Transformation
South Yorkshire Police is shifting its digital infrastructure to NicheRMS365, a centralized platform designed to unify crime recording and data governance across the force. The move aims to replace fragmented systems with a single source of truth, directly impacting how officers manage public protection and offender data.
The implementation introduces smart Guided Entry Forms intended to minimize duplicate data entry and highlight missing information in real-time. By integrating specialized modules—including those for mental health and missing persons—the force expects to improve response times and situational awareness for frontline staff. The platform is designed to scale, allowing for the addition of further policing functions as requirements evolve.
Beyond internal efficiency, the force will join the Minerva Programme, a collaborative network of 28 police agencies already utilizing the NicheRMS365 architecture. This participation allows the constabulary to move away from isolated legacy systems in favor of a shared, cross-border intelligence framework. Sally Briggs, Business Transformation Manager, described the shift as a necessary advancement for providing higher standards of public service through improved digital tools. The adoption positions the force to handle complex modern policing demands by consolidating data retrieval and analysis into a more intuitive, secure environment.
