No Man’s Sky Lands on iOS Devices October 28

Sean Murray, founder of Hello Games, emphasized that this release is not a stripped-back version of the game. It packs in every major update released since launch, including the substantial Voyagers expansion. While multiplayer and planetary settlements remain absent, the mobile port mirrors the studio’s strategy for the Nintendo Switch, with plans to refine and expand the experience based on player feedback and hardware performance.

Hardware requirements start at the iPhone 11 and the third-generation iPad Air. Despite the game’s massive scale, the installation footprint is a modest 5GB. To accommodate mobile play, the studio overhauled touch controls while retaining support for external controllers, screen casting, and mouse-and-keyboard setups on iPad. Engineers also prioritized thermal management and battery optimization to ensure the hardware can sustain extended sessions without overheating or rapid power drain.
