Catarina Collins Serra Takes Helm as CITGO Interim CFO
CITGO Petroleum Corporation appointed Catarina Collins Serra as interim chief financial officer, effective immediately, as she steps in to replace outgoing executive John Zuklic. Serra joins the Houston-based refiner following a career spanning senior finance leadership positions across the energy, industrial, and petrochemical sectors.
Before joining CITGO, Serra held key roles at Honeywell, SABIC, and several GE divisions, including GE Power Conversion and GE Oil & Gas. Her background covers global controllership, financial planning, and large-scale business transformation. CEO Carlos Jordá noted that her expertise in financial discipline will support the company's long-term operational priorities. Zuklic departs after a six-year tenure, during which he oversaw the finance organization through a significant period for the independent refiner. Serra holds a degree in economics from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and completed several leadership programs throughout her tenure at GE.
