Footwear Startup STOKE Shoes Taps Barrett for Omnichannel Logistics

To support its rapid expansion into over 450 retail stores, emerging footwear brand STOKE Shoes has appointed Barrett Distribution Centers as its primary third-party logistics partner. The collaboration aims to scale STOKE’s specialized direct-to-consumer and wholesale operations through Barrett’s national fulfillment network and expertise in high-growth footwear distribution.

Founded in 2025 to address the needs of men with wide and extra-wide feet, STOKE Shoes has quickly moved beyond its initial direct-to-consumer model. Founder Rick Blackshaw cited Barrett’s operational agility and technical guidance as decisive factors in the selection, noting the partner's ability to manage the complexities of modern retail compliance and omnichannel distribution. The brand currently reports that 75% of men have wide feet, yet only a fraction of existing footwear options are designed to accommodate that anatomy properly.

This logistics shift coincides with the company’s efforts to elevate its market profile, highlighted by the recent appointment of sports media personality Caleb Pressley as creative lead. Pressley is expected to spearhead brand development and collaborate on a signature shoe line slated for release later this year. For Barrett, the agreement reinforces a portfolio already deep in high-touch consumer goods, with senior vice president Scott Hothem emphasizing that the partnership is built to sustain STOKE’s aggressive scaling trajectory across both digital and physical retail channels.
