The release of North v3 marks a strategic pivot toward full-stack visibility, connecting cloud infrastructure with third-party services like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Snowflake. By consolidating these costs into one system, the company aims to solve the fragmentation that occurs when finance teams track data platforms and AI model usage in tools separate from their core cloud environments.

Central to the update is Autobot, an autonomous engine powered by the company's proprietary FinOps copilot, Noros. This tool utilizes machine learning to monitor usage patterns, allowing it to automatically purchase, renew, or scale cloud commitments across providers. CEO Matt Biringer noted that the modern infrastructure landscape has evolved beyond simple compute and storage, requiring a unified approach to managing GPUs and AI services. To support this, the platform also debuts generative dashboards that allow users to surface financial insights using natural language, alongside the TokenFlow feature for tracking model health and token-based spending.
