Grainger Launches 550,000-Square-Foot Distribution Hub in Oregon
Grainger officially opened its Northwest Distribution Center in Gresham, Oregon, on August 19, 2026, marking a strategic expansion of its supply chain. The 550,000-square-foot facility strengthens the distributor’s regional reach while adding approximately 150 new jobs to the local economy, building on the company’s eight-decade history in the state.

The new facility sits just 16 miles from Portland, serving as a critical node for delivering maintenance, repair, and operating products to businesses and government agencies across the Pacific Northwest. Kristi Braverman, Group Vice President of Distribution Operations, noted that the site enables faster, more efficient access to essential supplies needed to keep regional operations running smoothly.
Beyond logistics, the company marked the opening with a donation to the Boys & Girls Club of Portland Metropolitan Area. Terry Johnson, CEO of the organization, highlighted that the partnership supports youth development and workforce readiness programs. Grainger currently employs 240 people across Oregon and reported $17.9 billion in global revenue for 2025.
