CN Energy Group Begins Oil Production at Cold Lake Project
The Alberta landscape is now host to a new production site as CN Energy Group, through its subsidiary CNEY Canada Inc., confirmed the completion and startup of its oil well project in Cold Lake. This move marks the company’s transition from its traditional carbon-based operations into North American energy asset development.
The project serves as the anchor for an integrated platform that connects oil investment, production, and supply chain logistics. By utilizing its local subsidiary, Blessing Logistics Ltd., the firm aims to bridge Canadian resource extraction with broader trading and management services. According to interim CEO Wenhua Liu, the milestone validates the company’s intent to diversify beyond its historical focus on recyclable activated carbon and robotics, targeting scalable growth in the energy sector.
Looking ahead, the company intends to target additional oil and gas opportunities across North America. Future expansion strategies will prioritize projects with existing infrastructure and reliable sales channels, while placing increased emphasis on environmental compliance and operational safety protocols.
