APPEC 2026 Convenes in Singapore Amid Global Trade Volatility
Fifteen hundred energy leaders will gather at the Raffles City Convention Centre from September 7–10, 2026, as the 42nd Asia Pacific Petroleum Conference tackles the physical realities of a redrawn global trade map. The summit aims to address supply chain fragmentation and the urgent recalibration of oil and natural gas markets.
Singapore’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Trade and Industry, Gan Siow Huang, is set to open the four-day event. With over 180 speakers scheduled, the conference shifts focus from theoretical risks to the immediate pressures of energy security and maritime trade constraints. Dave Ernsberger, President of S&P Global Energy, noted that the current market environment has made the dialogue at this year’s summit particularly vital for industry stakeholders navigating shifting trade corridors.
The 2026 program expands into seven specialized streams, covering everything from crude supply maps and LNG procurement to the integration of AI in trading desks. Attendees will examine how automation and digital shipping corridors are reshaping industry resilience, alongside technical sessions on biofuel supply chains and chemical feedstock pricing. This year’s edition serves as a critical junction for companies looking to manage price volatility and procurement strategies in an increasingly complex and interconnected energy landscape.
