Hoogland Restaurant Group Expands Marco's Pizza Footprint
Hoogland Restaurant Group has bolstered its position as the largest Marco's Pizza franchisee in the United States by acquiring five additional locations across Tennessee and Texas. This expansion pushes the company's total portfolio to 120 stores operating across 14 states, signaling a period of aggressive growth for the operator.

The newly acquired properties include four Texas sites in Lewisville, Fort Worth, Saginaw, and North Richland Hills, alongside a strategic location in the Tennessee vacation hub of Pigeon Forge. McLain Hoogland, president of the Highland Ventures-backed group, attributed the expansion to the team's ability to navigate current economic pressures in the quick-service restaurant sector.
Zach McLaughlin, vice president of operations, noted that the acquisition aligns with the group's objective of scaling their service model, which prioritizes community-focused engagement. Founded in 2012, Hoogland Restaurant Group remains a significant partner for Marco’s Pizza, which currently ranks as the fifth-largest pizza chain in the nation with over 1,300 locations globally.
