HireVue Triples New Bookings Amid Shift to Skills-Based Hiring
A dramatic pivot toward validated, science-backed recruitment has propelled HireVue to a banner first half of 2026. As employers abandon traditional hiring signals in favor of data-driven capability assessments, the Salt Lake City-based firm reported a tripling of new customer bookings and secured key federal security credentials.

The company’s rapid growth stems from a broader industry mandate: firms are increasingly wary of unvetted AI, opting instead for transparent, defensible technology that predicts real-world job performance. This demand led to a 100% year-over-year increase in assessment bookings and secured the company FedRAMP Certification, a critical milestone for expanding its footprint within federal agencies.
To capitalize on this momentum, HireVue introduced two core products: the Assessment Builder, which streamlines the creation of research-backed hiring tests, and the AI Interviewer, a conversational tool designed to maintain high-stakes governance while scaling talent acquisition. CEO Jeremy Friedman noted that the shift toward validated skills has proven durable, positioning the company to capture larger shares of both U.S. and Middle Eastern markets.
Supporting this expansion, HireVue bolstered its executive leadership by appointing Samir Gulati as Chief Marketing Officer and promoting Matt Foggett to Executive VP of Worldwide Sales. With over 180 million assessments powered to date, the organization continues to double down on selection science to displace legacy resume-based screening processes.
