The feature emphasizes the agency's collaborative framework, which connects private developers, municipal officials, and Tribal leadership to address the "missing middle" in workforce housing. By aligning data-driven insights with strategic investment, the program illustrates how stable shelter correlates with improved educational outcomes and reduced healthcare costs across urban and rural New Mexico.

Executive Director and CEO Isidoro Hernandez credits the agency's success to a network of 400 partners, which allows for the deployment of nearly 40 distinct programs. As property insurance premiums and operational costs strain affordable housing providers nationwide, the segment focuses on the necessity of home rehabilitation and weatherization. These initiatives allow low-income residents and seniors to maintain aging properties, preventing displacement while preserving the state’s existing housing stock through targeted, cost-effective upgrades.
