American Parkinson Disease Association Sets Fourth Virtual Conference
More than 9,000 people have attended the American Parkinson Disease Association’s virtual gatherings over the past three years, prompting the organization to return this September with a two-day digital event. The conference aims to reach those who face mobility challenges or geographic isolation by bringing experts directly to their homes.

The event, scheduled for September 16 and 17, 2026, focuses on both clinical research and daily management of the condition. From noon to 4:00 p.m. ET each day, participants can access sessions covering topics such as cognitive clinical trials, mental health, and the practical applications of artificial intelligence in managing Parkinson’s disease. Leslie A. Chambers, President and CEO of the APDA, noted that the digital format is designed to overcome barriers like travel and scheduling conflicts, ensuring that support remains accessible to everyone regardless of location. The program features over 20 speakers, including medical professionals and individuals living with the disease who will share personal experiences and insights. Attendees are also encouraged to use the Smart Patients online forum to discuss session content and maintain connections after the event concludes. Registration is currently open for the free conference, which is supported by Medtronic.
