Pasdar arrives at the Washington-based firm following a long tenure at Rabobank, where he served as CEO of Rabo Securities and Head of Markets for North America. During his time there, he oversaw trading, business development, and wholesale banking, helping establish the firm as a major participant in the North American agribusiness sector. His background also includes serving as a founding member of Rabobank’s loan syndication team, an experience that provided him with deep connections across the Farm Credit System and rural lending circles.

At Farmer Mac, Pasdar reports directly to Carpenter. The transition comes as the company seeks to expand its reach in providing liquidity to rural America, ranging from traditional agricultural lending to infrastructure projects like broadband and renewable energy. Pasdar holds an M.B.A. from Boston University and a B.S. in economics from Temple University.
