Anker Targets Premium Audio With Liberty 5 Pro Earbuds

With a price tag pushing into AirPods Pro 3 territory, Anker’s new Liberty 5 Pro earbuds represent a significant shift for the budget-focused brand. By integrating a more powerful proprietary chip, the company is betting that superior call quality and noise cancellation can finally compete with industry giants like Sony and Bose.

The Liberty 5 Pro retails for $170, while its sibling, the Liberty 5 Pro Max, sits at $230. Despite the price gap, the hardware remains identical across both models. Users receive the same 9.2mm drivers, IP55 water resistance, battery longevity, and active noise cancellation performance. The distinction lies entirely in the charging case.

The Max version features a larger 1.78-inch display, while the standard 5 Pro includes an angled 0.96-inch TFT screen. These interfaces allow users to toggle noise cancellation, adjust sound profiles, or manage head tracking without opening the Soundcore app. While the default audio profile may require manual adjustment, the enhanced onboard processing delivers noise cancellation during calls that currently sets a new benchmark for the category.
