Jackery Targets Home Kitchens With Ultra-Slim Backup Battery
Measuring just 2.63 inches thick, Jackery’s new FridgeGuard battery aims to disappear into home interiors while serving as a dedicated power buffer. The device prioritizes a slim profile over industrial aesthetics, designed specifically to slide behind or beside refrigerators to provide instant backup when the grid fails.

The FridgeGuard features a 1kWh LFP battery capable of delivering 800W of continuous AC output, enough to sustain a standard refrigerator for approximately 10 hours. Users can extend this runtime by adding a 1kWh expansion battery. A 10ms UPS switchover ensures the unit activates automatically during outages, while its cooling system operates at a quiet 40dB, matching the ambient hum of a typical appliance.
Beyond kitchen utility, the slim form factor allows for integration into living spaces to support sensitive electronics like CPAP machines or home entertainment systems. Jackery enters a competitive market segment alongside rivals such as BioLite, Bluetti, and Pila, all vying to mitigate food spoilage during power disruptions. The FridgeGuard launches exclusively at Costco in the United States on June 22, priced at $559.99 for members.
