Painterland Sisters Establishes First National Skyr Yogurt Day

To mark the conclusion of National Dairy Month, Pennsylvania-based dairy brand Painterland Sisters is launching the inaugural National Skyr Yogurt Day on June 26. The initiative aims to elevate the profile of the high-protein, Icelandic-style yogurt category while highlighting the brand’s commitment to organic, regenerative farming practices.

The sisters behind the brand, fourth-generation dairy farmers Stephanie and Hayley Painter, are marking the occasion with a series of pop-up events across Pennsylvania and New York. The food truck tour will offer consumers samples of their lactose-free skyr alongside complimentary flower bouquets. The activation is scheduled for June 26 in Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square, followed by stops in Manhattan’s East Village and Brooklyn’s Williamsburg on June 27.

Beyond the physical activations, the company is facilitating a nationwide promotion to encourage trial of the product. Through the platform Aisle, Painterland Sisters will reimburse the first 2,500 customers who purchase a 5.3oz cup of their yogurt on June 26 or 27. The brand views the holiday as a strategic effort to bridge the gap between traditional Icelandic crafting methods and the demands of modern, health-conscious consumers. By focusing on nutrient density and transparent, farmer-led supply chains, the founders intend to position their skyr as a staple for a wellness-focused diet.
