Lymphoma Research Foundation Directs $3.9 Million to Cancer Studies
The Lymphoma Research Foundation has distributed $3.9 million across 24 new grants to accelerate blood cancer research. Selected by an elite Scientific Advisory Board, the 2026 cohort focuses on critical gaps in lymphoma treatment, ranging from rare T-cell malignancies to specialized therapies for adolescents and young adults.
These awards support investigators at 16 academic and medical institutions across North America, including major hubs like MD Anderson Cancer Center, Memorial Sloan Kettering, and Yale University. The funding is divided into three primary categories: Clinical Career Development Awards, Postdoctoral Fellowships, and the Scientific Research Mentoring Program.
Andrew Evens, chair of the Foundation’s Scientific Advisory Board, characterized the recipients as the field's rising stars, noting their work addresses the most pressing issues in lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. With this latest infusion, the organization has committed over $85 million to research initiatives since its founding 30 years ago. According to CEO Meghan Gutierrez, the ongoing investment aims to refine the understanding of lymphoma’s complex subtypes, directly translating biological discoveries into expanded treatment options for patients and their families.
