ERMProtect and NimbusDDOS Partner to Stress-Test Critical Systems
Miami-based cybersecurity firm ERMProtect has entered a strategic partnership with NimbusDDOS to provide advanced resilience testing against Distributed Denial-of-Service attacks. The collaboration aims to help organizations move beyond theoretical compliance by simulating real-world traffic surges that threaten to take essential digital infrastructure offline.

Regulators across the healthcare, financial, and government sectors are increasingly demanding empirical proof of system durability rather than simple documentation. Under frameworks like NIST, HIPAA, and FFIEC, entities must now demonstrate that their networks can withstand targeted availability attacks. By integrating the NimbusDDOS simulation platform into its existing risk management advisory, ERMProtect seeks to provide a practical mechanism for verifying these defenses before a genuine breach occurs.
"DDoS attacks are specifically designed to take systems offline, making availability a real business risk," said Esteban Farao, Director of Security Consulting at ERMProtect. The partnership allows firms to identify and remediate vulnerabilities in their infrastructure by subjecting them to controlled, simulated attack scenarios. This approach shifts the focus from passive security audits to active resilience validation, ensuring that critical systems remain operational under high-pressure conditions.
