Triad and SimCare Merge Clinical Training with Licensure Prep
University counseling students will soon bridge the gap between simulation training and professional certification through a new partnership between Triad and SimCare. The collaboration embeds 150 AATBS-authored NCMHCE practice questions directly into interactive, AI-driven clinical scenarios, effectively turning exam readiness into a byproduct of daily coursework.

SimCare, an AI-powered platform developed by Soma Lab, Inc., currently places students in realistic patient encounters to assess their clinical judgment. By integrating content from AATBS—a subsidiary of the Level Education Group—the partnership ensures that learners encounter licensure-aligned questions within their existing workflows. This approach aims to eliminate the traditional disconnect where students treat clinical training and board exam preparation as distinct, siloed experiences.
"Counseling students spend significant time inside simulation environments developing clinical judgment," said Jamie Harper, CEO of Level Education Group. "Embedding AATBS exam content into those same workflows means licensure readiness isn't a separate step." The initiative launches as a 12-month pilot program across select university counseling departments. At the nine-month mark, the companies plan to conduct a formal evaluation to measure student engagement and determine the feasibility of a broader rollout to additional academic institutions.
