Lazard has officially closed its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens, consolidating the two firms into a new powerhouse entity dubbed Lazard CL. The merger combines Lazard’s existing advisory reach with Campbell Lutyens’ established expertise in fund placement and secondary transactions. Operating with a team of over 300 professionals across 19 global offices, the new division claims a historical track record of advising on more than $1 trillion in capital raised and secondary volume. Lazard leadership expects the unit to generate approximately $500 million in combined revenue, with the business currently tracking ahead of initial performance projections.

Lazard CEO Peter Orszag emphasized that the integration is designed to bridge the gap between traditional M&A services and the increasingly complex needs of private capital sponsors. By leveraging proprietary datasets and AI-driven benchmarking, Lazard CL intends to provide specialized counsel across private equity, credit, infrastructure, and real estate. Co-CEOs Gordon Bajnai and Holcombe Green will lead the entity, focusing on expanding distribution to roughly 4,000 institutional investors while maintaining the independent, entrepreneurial culture that defined Campbell Lutyens for nearly four decades.
