Investors Face November Deadline in AST SpaceMobile Securities Lawsuit

Investors who purchased AST SpaceMobile securities between March 4, 2025, and July 15, 2026, have until November 13, 2026, to seek lead plaintiff status in a pending class action lawsuit. The litigation, filed in the Western District of Texas, alleges the company misled shareholders regarding its capital position and market competitiveness.

The complaint in Hunter v. AST SpaceMobile, Inc. claims the company failed to disclose that its increasing capital requirements would necessitate greater debt and share dilution than previously suggested. According to the filing, these omissions left investors with an inaccurate picture of the firm's liquidity and its standing in the satellite direct-to-consumer market. The lawsuit further points to reports of sluggish user adoption in the United States and Japan as factors that were not adequately communicated to the public.

Financial pressure culminated in July 2026, when AST announced the pricing of $1 billion in convertible senior notes. The news triggered a 17.04% drop in the company's Class A common stock, which closed at $55.01 on July 16. This followed a series of negative developments, including a January 2026 downgrade by Scotiabank, which cited intense competition from SpaceX’s Starlink and repeated satellite launch delays. Law firm Kessler Topaz Meltzer & Check, LLP is currently advising affected investors on their legal options as the November 13 deadline approaches.
