FCC Blocks Jovistar Following DJI Front Company Allegations
After failing to identify banned technology in previous reviews, the FCC has moved to block applications from Jovistar. Regulators intervened following evidence from TUV Rheinland, which identified the firm as a front company for DJI, effectively halting the import and sale of the company's hardware in the United States.

TUV Rheinland, acting as an FCC subcontractor, alerted the commission to the underlying links between the two entities. This decision marks a significant shift in oversight after the FCC previously cleared DJI-related technology for market entry due to inadequate vetting procedures. By flagging Jovistar, the regulator has effectively placed the firm on notice, preventing it from utilizing standard import channels. The move highlights a renewed effort to address corporate shell games used to bypass federal restrictions on Chinese-manufactured drone components.
