Honeycomb Opens Reservations for Xbox-Ready Flight Controller
Flight simulation enthusiasts can now secure the Echo Aviation Controller XPC, a specialized gamepad designed for Xbox consoles. Available for reservation without a deposit, the device carries a price tag of $179.99, with official sales scheduled to commence on November 20th following its initial announcement last June.
The controller departs from the standard gamepad layout to accommodate the intricacies of flight simulation. It replaces traditional inputs with a suite of cockpit-focused hardware, including throttle levers, a dedicated trim wheel, and integrated rudder paddles. Users gain tactile control over specific flight maneuvers through switches designed for landing gear deployment and parking brake engagement, bridging the gap between desktop gaming and simulated aviation.
