My Fairy Godfathers Gala Raises $259,000 for Women’s Empowerment
Under the theme of "Timeless Temptation," the My Fairy Godfathers Foundation raised $259,000 last Saturday at the Shanna and Bryan Glazer JCC in Tampa. The black-tie gala drew over 300 guests to support the nonprofit’s mission of providing beauty-focused resources and confidence to women navigating life’s most challenging chapters.

The evening featured a silent auction with 50 unique items and a live auction offering luxury getaways to destinations including Finland, Sweden, and Spain. Actress Nicole Eggert, who received support from the foundation during her breast cancer treatment, highlighted the impact of the organization’s work in a video message, noting how founders Andrew Ashton and Steven Anderson helped her reclaim a sense of self-worth during her recovery.
Since its inception as a 501(c)(3) in 2011, the foundation has supported more than 12,000 women through programs ranging from personalized wig donations to scholarships and beauty experiences for foster youth. During the event, recipient Falana Shannon shared her personal journey of overcoming health challenges and time in the foster care system, crediting the foundation with helping her build self-belief. Ashton confirmed that the record-breaking funds will allow the organization to extend its reach, continuing a legacy that began nearly two decades ago with a single prom makeover at their Clearwater salon, La Posh.
