Slovak PRO Summit 2026 Gathers Global Leaders in Washington
Two hundred prominent Slovak and Slovak American professionals, scientists, and entrepreneurs gather in Arlington on October 23 for the largest Slovak PRO Summit in the organization's history. Hosted at George Mason University, the event marks a quarter-century of community building while aligning with the United States' 250th anniversary celebrations.

The summit serves as a high-level networking hub, balancing historical reflection with a focus on future innovation. Executive director Jana Trnovcová Ragucci and President Michal Šimkovič open the proceedings, setting the stage for Ambassador Andrej Droba’s keynote address regarding the Slovak American experience. The program bridges heritage and industry, featuring insights from leaders like Library Hotel Collection president Henry Kallan and National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library CEO Dr. Cecilia Rokusek.
Technological advancement occupies a central role in the agenda, with contributions from figures such as Meta product design lead Michal Vaško, Brightpick CEO Ján Žižka, and aerospace engineer Etienne Besett. A specialized panel on artificial intelligence, featuring professor Jana Košecká and Kempelen Institute CEO Mária Bieliková, underscores the organization's shift toward modern innovation. The summit concludes with a forward-looking discussion on the next 25 years of the community, preceded by an awards ceremony at the Embassy of the Slovak Republic. Supported by entities including ESET and the Mužila Foundation, the event aims to solidify professional ties across borders.
