For the second consecutive year, Kathy Yang of Hon Hai Technology Group has secured a place on Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Asia list. Yang joins a cohort of 16 technology leaders, the most represented sector on the 2026 roster, outpacing the banking industry’s 14 honorees. Her inclusion highlights the shifting economic landscape in Asia, where technology-driven enterprises are increasingly defining regional growth. According to Fortune’s Asia list Senior Manager Charmian Choo, the rankings reflect a transition where established executives and emerging talent are converging to reshape corporate influence.

Overseeing operations across 240 sites in 24 countries, Yang advocates for a human-centric approach to the ongoing industrial shift. She argues that the primary hurdle for modern industry is not merely the deployment of automation, but the strategic redesign of labor and the reskilling of the global workforce. Her vision for the next five years centers on an integrated environment where human expertise and robotics enhance one another rather than exist in isolation.

This latest recognition follows her appearance on Fortune’s global Most Powerful Women in Business list earlier this year. Yang’s career at Foxconn includes a tenure as the company's first female Rotating CEO, a role in which she prioritized governance and operational alignment. Beyond her core responsibilities, she serves as a Board Director for Foxconn Industrial Internet and leads JUSDA as Chairwoman and CEO.
