Vet Tix Secures $1 Million in Free Tickets for JIMMY Film Screenings
A new motion picture chronicling the life of Hollywood icon and World War II combat pilot Jimmy Stewart is opening to military families and first responders at no cost. The Veteran Tickets Foundation announced a $1 million initiative to provide complimentary seats for the film’s nationwide release on November 6.

The film, titled JIMMY, depicts Stewart’s transition from a celebrated actor to a dedicated soldier who flew 20 combat missions over Europe with the U.S. Army Air Forces. His service continued long after the war, eventually leading to his promotion to Brigadier General in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. KJ Apa portrays the actor in a production that aims to highlight the patriotism that defined Stewart’s off-screen life.
Kelly Stewart Harcourt, the actor’s daughter and an executive producer on the project, noted that the distribution of these tickets would have been a point of pride for her father. The initiative is supported by a coalition of corporate donors and organizations, including the National Football League, California Commerce Club, and The Jimmy Stewart Museum. Michael A. Focatero III, CEO of Vet Tix, stated that the program allows veterans and first responders to engage with this history during the upcoming Veterans Day season. While the first wave of tickets is currently being distributed, the foundation plans to release additional inventory in November as further donations are processed.
