Welltory Secures $2 Million to Scale Chronic Condition Support
With 18 million users on its platform, Redwood City-based Welltory has secured $2 million in growth financing from Braavo Capital. The funds are earmarked for the expansion of Welltory Care, a service designed to provide specialized, data-driven support for individuals navigating complex chronic health conditions.

The capital injection builds on a multi-year partnership between the two companies, with Braavo previously contributing several million dollars to fuel Welltory’s product development. Welltory Care distinguishes itself by using digital phenotyping—the synthesis of wearable data and self-reported experiences—to group users with similar physiological profiles and daily limitations.
Welltory CCO Veranika Zdanovich noted that most health applications focus on the average user, whereas chronic conditions demand a more personalized approach. By identifying clusters of users with comparable health markers, the company aims to offer tailored research and tools. The efficacy of this model is currently being tested in an IRB-approved study following a successful pilot of an Energy Lab group focused on post-exertional malaise. Following high engagement levels among the initial 100 participants, the firm plans to scale that specific group to 500 members.
Looking ahead, Welltory intends to leverage the new financing to recruit staff and expand its service offerings. The roadmap for the coming year includes the launch of dedicated Care groups for patients managing migraines, long COVID, chronic fatigue, and irritable bowel syndrome.
