Executives justified the move by citing a strategic shift toward debt reduction and improved financial flexibility, yet the market reaction was immediate and severe. By the close of trading on July 23, shares had plummeted $1.62 to settle at $5.76.

Pomerantz LLP is now seeking to determine if the company’s disclosures leading up to this reversal misled investors.
