Authentic Interactions Taps Soniox for Multilingual Digital Humans

Digital humans created by Authentic Interactions will now feature enhanced multilingual capabilities through a new partnership with Soniox. By integrating Soniox’s real-time speech recognition engine, the company aims to improve natural conversation flow across 60 languages for its Lookalike and StoryFile platforms, specifically targeting challenging acoustic environments.

The integration combines Authentic Interactions' conversational data, gathered from thousands of real-world deployments, with Soniox’s low-latency speech-to-text technology. According to Authentic Interactions CEO Alex Quinn, the move was prompted by the need for consistent performance in difficult settings like interactive museum exhibits, where background noise and complex acoustics often hinder standard voice recognition.

Starting in mid-August, the company began migrating its existing products to the new engine. Soniox CEO Klemen Simonič noted that the technology is specifically engineered to handle the nuances of human speech, including mixed-language inputs and regional accents. This shift is intended to broaden the reach of the company's digital human interfaces, which are used across sectors ranging from healthcare through Authentex to museum docent services and personal legacy preservation via StoryFile.
