Trinity Capital Taps Matt Nuyen to Lead Equipment Finance Originations
Trinity Capital has named Matt Nuyen as Director of Originations for its equipment finance division in Phoenix. The move aims to accelerate the firm’s reach in the non-dilutive capital market, leveraging Nuyen’s two decades of expertise in structured debt and commercial equipment financing to support high-growth companies.

Nuyen joins the firm with a mandate to expand referral networks and sharpen the delivery of customized capital solutions. His professional background centers on crafting debt facilities for capital-intensive businesses, working directly with founders to facilitate operational scaling. This appointment reunites him with Ryan Little, the firm's Senior Managing Director of Equipment Finance, who cited Nuyen’s relationship-driven approach as a primary asset for the company's growth strategy.
Trinity Capital continues to emphasize its presence in private credit markets, where it currently manages five distinct lending verticals. Since its 2008 inception, the firm has deployed over $6.2 billion across more than 490 investments. By adding Nuyen to the Arizona-based headquarters, the asset manager positions itself to capture rising demand for flexible debt instruments among growth-oriented enterprises.
