Microsoft Revives OG Green Aesthetic for Halo Anniversary Gear
Nostalgia meets peripheral hardware as Microsoft launches a limited-edition collection honoring the original Xbox’s signature translucent green aesthetic. Timed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Halo franchise, the lineup spans gaming mice, mechanical keyboards, and mobile controllers, all styled to match the previously unveiled Xbox Series X25 console.

The collection leans heavily into the retro-translucent look that defined early 2000s hardware. Razer anchors the release with 25th-anniversary editions of its Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse, BlackWidow V4 75% keyboard, and Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds. Beyond Razer, the lineup includes an 8BitDo Ultimate charging dock and a GameSir X5 Lite mobile controller, both finished in the same signature shade.
Diversity in the collection comes from the Backbone Pro mobile controller, which departs from the dominant green theme. While the rest of the hardware maintains a uniform color profile, the Backbone Pro is offered in a blind box format, leaving buyers to receive one of three distinct translucent finishes: clear, blue, or orange. A black PowerA sling bag rounds out the accessories, serving as the only non-translucent item in the entire release.
