Landes Group Acquires Encore Medical Center in Arkansas
Dallas-based investment firm The Landes Group has finalized the acquisition of the 108,055-square-foot Encore Medical Center in Bryant, Arkansas. The deal includes a long-term lease agreement with the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, which will assume operational control of the facility to bolster its regional healthcare footprint.
The transaction allows the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences to integrate the Bryant site into its existing hospital system while bypassing the significant upfront costs typically associated with direct property purchases. This strategy aligns with the investment model favored by The Landes Group, which aims to provide healthcare providers with capital flexibility for patient care and institutional expansion. Brett Landes, CEO of the firm, described the agreement as an intricate coordination effort between multiple stakeholders, including Arkansas Heart Hospital. Financing for the acquisition was provided by CGA Capital, marking the latest collaboration in a partnership that has now surpassed $1.2 billion in total volume. Since its founding in 2007, The Landes Group has increasingly shifted its portfolio toward specialized medical facilities, utilizing sale-leaseback structures to unlock liquidity for operators navigating the evolving demands of the healthcare sector.
