Harlem’s Fashion Row Returns for 19th Annual Runway Showcase

The runway will feature the Spring/Summer 2027 collections from three participants of the Runway Ahead Designer Fellowship: Atelier Ndigo’s Waina Chancy, Rey Jaiteh, and Chuks Collins. Supported by the PVH Foundation and ICON360, these designers have spent months refining their business strategies and creative output under the mentorship of PVH executives. The fellowship culminates in a high-stakes competition where one participant will be awarded a $100,000 grant to scale their brand.

A selection committee, including industry figures such as June Ambrose, Vanity Fair’s Nicole Chapoteau, and GQ’s Mobolaji Dawodu, will evaluate the collections based on craftsmanship and commercial viability. Beyond the runway, the evening hosts the annual Style Awards, which recognize contributions across media and design. This year introduces the Breakthrough Award, intended to highlight emerging visionaries, alongside established honors like the Virgil Abloh Award presented by LVMH and the Anne Lowe Maverick Award.

Founder and CEO Brandice Daniel emphasized that the event is an exercise in intentional growth, noting that the organization’s longevity stems from disciplined partnerships. As the platform enters its nineteenth year, the show remains a pivotal networking hub, supported by sponsors including Pattern Beauty and Dior, which provide the backstage artistry required to bring the diverse collections to life.
