Sunbound Integrates AI Billing Automation into PointClickCare Platform

The integration allows facilities to pull census and resident data directly from their current system of record, automating workflows that have historically relied on spreadsheets and repetitive manual tasks. Sunbound offers two primary modules: an RCM solution that handles end-to-end claim management, from verification to denial appeals, and a private payment tool that provides automated invoicing and family-facing portals.

According to Sunbound CEO Manny Cominsky, the software is designed to handle the heavy lifting of billing operations, allowing staff to redirect their time toward resident care. The company reports that current users achieve a 99% net collection rate on claims and maintain a 95% on-time payment rate for private residents. By joining the PointClickCare Marketplace, Sunbound leverages existing APIs to provide a seamless connection for operators, avoiding the need for additional software management. Mike Boesveld, Director of Marketplace Strategy at PointClickCare, noted that the partnership reflects a growing demand for integrated, specialized tools that accelerate business operations. Sunbound currently processes over $1 billion in annual payments, backed by investors including Omega Healthcare Investors and Live Oak Bank.
