Sarasota-based WellSpring Consumer Healthcare is integrating hypochlorous acid into its A+D, Bactine, vH Essentials, and Solarcaine brands. The expansion leverages the rising demand for science-backed skincare, positioning hypochlorous acid as a versatile tool for both household first aid and dermatological maintenance. By incorporating the compound into established product lines, the company intends to simplify access to clinical-grade ingredients. The new range includes specialized items like A+D’s antimicrobial diaper change spray and Bactine’s sting-free wound care hydrogel, alongside pH-balanced intimate cleansing sprays and burn relief treatments.

To drive consumer adoption, WellSpring has recruited board-certified dermatologist Dr. Nkem Ugonabo and television personality Ashley Iaconetti Haibon. The campaign focuses on educational content designed to demystify the ingredient’s antimicrobial efficacy and its suitability for various skin types. According to Oliver Sanders, vice president of marketing at WellSpring, the initiative serves to bridge the gap between niche dermatological recommendations and everyday consumer needs. The products are currently available through major retailers including Amazon, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, and Target.
