Priced at $189.99, the new Seiko SLP850 thermal printer arrives in the United States and Canada this week, marking a shift in the Smart Label series by supporting both die-cut and linerless media. The device replaces the outgoing SLP650 models, promising 300 dpi resolution in a compact desktop form factor.
The SLP850 arrives in three distinct configurations—USB, USB/Serial, and USB/Bluetooth—to accommodate varying office and logistics workflows. By utilizing direct thermal technology, the printer removes the recurring costs of ink, toner, and ribbons while maintaining compatibility across both Windows and Mac operating systems.
