This alliance allows ecommerce platforms to manage cross-border financial obligations through a single integration, replacing fragmented legacy systems with a streamlined pipeline. By leveraging Thunes’ infrastructure, Fiserv aims to provide its clients with the transparency and speed required to scale global operations without the typical delays associated with international settlements in 90 different currencies.

Sanjay Saraf, Chief Product Officer at Fiserv Merchant Services, noted that the collaboration addresses the growing need for payment systems that match the pace of merchant expansion. For Thunes, the partnership serves as a major expansion of its footprint in the Americas. Following the acquisition of money transmission licenses across all required U.S. states, the company is positioning its network as the primary engine for U.S.-based enterprises seeking to eliminate historical hurdles in global payouts.
