The legal action follows a series of disclosures regarding the company's subsidiary, NetNut. On July 2, 2026, a Reuters report revealed that Google, in partnership with the FBI, had disrupted a proxy network used to route malicious traffic, explicitly linking NetNut to these operations. Alarum shares dropped 20.8% to $6.35 per ADS immediately following the announcement.

The situation intensified two days later when Alarum announced a temporary operational pause of certain network services to investigate the incident. This disclosure triggered a second, more severe market reaction, with the company's share price falling an additional 51.49% to close at $3.08 on July 6, 2026. The law firm Glancy Prongay Wolke & Rotter LLP is currently organizing the class action to assist shareholders in recovering these losses, though no class has been formally certified to date.
