Suncrete Revenue Climbs 146% Amid Aggressive Sunbelt Expansion

Tulsa-based ready-mix concrete provider Suncrete reported a significant revenue surge to $97.2 million for the second quarter of 2026, a 146% increase over the previous year, even as the company navigated a $37.1 million net loss driven by heavy acquisition costs and non-cash charges.

The company, which operates a logistics platform across the U.S. Sunbelt, saw concrete production volumes jump 123% compared to the same period in 2025. CEO Randall Edgar attributed the growth to strong demand in infrastructure and residential construction, which persisted despite unseasonably wet weather across the firm's primary service regions. To fuel this expansion, Suncrete finalized a series of strategic acquisitions, including Hope Concrete, Nelson Bros., and the Little Rock-based ABC Block Company, effectively extending its footprint into Arkansas, Louisiana, Missouri, and Mississippi.

While the company remains in a growth phase, the financial results reflect the capital-intensive nature of this strategy. The reported net loss of $37.1 million stands in sharp contrast to the $325,000 loss recorded in Q2 2025, largely due to $12.2 million in acquisition-related legal and advisory fees and a $26.9 million non-cash charge related to business combinations. Despite these expenditures, Suncrete is maintaining its fiscal 2026 guidance, projecting full-year revenue between $420 million and $480 million. Adjusted EBITDA reached $13.5 million for the quarter, signaling that core operational performance remains robust as the company integrates its new assets.
