AEON Integrates Colombia’s Bre-B Network to Enable Crypto Payments
By linking its settlement infrastructure to Colombia’s national instant payment network, Bre-B, AEON now allows crypto holders to settle transactions at local merchants directly in Colombian Pesos. The move signals a broader push to bridge autonomous digital assets with everyday retail commerce across Latin America.

The integration allows users to scan Bre-B QR codes via AEON Pay, utilizing direct on-chain transfers or wallets such as Binance, OKX, and Solana Pay. While consumers spend crypto, merchants receive funds in local fiat currency, removing the need for businesses to alter their existing payment workflows. This bridge aims to harmonize digital asset spending with the interoperable standards established by the Banco de la República.
As AI agents transition into autonomous economic participants, the ability to interact with local financial systems becomes a requirement for real-world utility. AEON intends to provide the settlement layer for these agents, ensuring they can complete retail purchases or subscriptions without friction. With a network now spanning over 50 million merchants globally, the company is positioning its infrastructure to accommodate both human consumers and future machine-led transactions.
